Statements

Artist’s statements often provide important insights into collections and individual pieces of the artist’s work. However such literary meanderings can sometimes be confusing and camouflage the real intentions of the work. Readers of these opinions are perhaps best advised to exercise caution and consider the words as guides rather than factual and certainly not expressions of truth.
I believe it is important and a fair consideration to write about many completed works because it brings closure to some pieces and provides valuable insight into thoughts that may not yet be complete.
It is my sincerest hope that the words provide greater incentive for the viewer to consider their own interpretation, which is, in the end, what really counts.
