What are painting studies?

These are small 16" x 20" signed acrylic paintings on canvas.  In them I explore new ideas all or in part to consider for larger canvases.  Sometimes various elements from different canvases are combined and at other times rejected in favor of new ideas.

They are painted rather than sketched because on canvas they more closely resemble what actually happens with brush strokes and paint on canvas.

Over the years I have accumulated many of these canvases and am now selling a few of them.  Usually they are untitled.
